My next project: DEATH DESERVED

Hi squad,

I have some exciting news.

In my last update, I shared some artwork for a future project.

I was deciding between pitching it to publishers or doing a Kickstarter.

I’ve ultimately landed on doing a Kickstarter (pre-register today!). The direct reader engagement and ability to get projects off the ground faster is just too good to ignore.

And just like EVERY LAST ONE, I’ll then sell it for acquisition to a publisher years from now.

We’re at the start of something new. And I’ve never been more excited.

Here’s an exclusive look at the next project: a dark fantasy miniseries with artist Ahmed Raafat (Dark Horse) and Rob Jones (Image, Titan Comics).

About Death Deserved

ARANEA, the last survivor of a spider-born race, is hellbent on getting revenge for who destroyed her colony.

Lost and alone in Superium City, she finds herself mentored by a cult of killers who claim to carry out justice to those who are ‘death deserved’.

But it’s all a lie.

The cult kill for money and now Aranea is on the hit list.

Aranea, hunted relentlessly, finds a partner in ONURIS, a hulking former-assassin looking to serve true justice in the world.

Together they go on a mission for vengeance, for justice, and to discover the truth behind the threat to Aranea’s life.

We’re not going live until we hit at least 300 subscribers.

When creating Every Last One, I ran it while making a loss, as I learned Kickstarter and how to crowdfund.

Now, I’m looking to cover the full production costs.

This is my biggest and most ambitious project yet.

And it needs you to bring a new fantasy world to light.

As part of the marketing, we’re asking people to sign-up to the project newsletter in order to get access to the pages.

This is a classic marketing technique to capture interest and then follow-up on the people who signed-up and ask for their backing of the Kickstarter.
